Within the presentation browser you get a preview of the first slide of your presentation. As it seems, this only contains the background image (if present) and the preview is not updated, when the first slide changes. 

This is a bit annoying, especially when the background images is identical for different presentation.

I suggest to include the text of the first slide on the preview and update it whenever the first slide changes.
