The Presentations section

The Presentations section

The Presentations section is the main workspace in AhaSlides — the first thing you see after logging in. From here you can create, organise, and manage all your presentations.
In the left sidebar, click Presentations to expand it. You will see three views underneath:
  1. My Presentations — all presentations you own, including any folders you have created.
  2. Shared with Me — presentations and folders that other AhaSlides users have shared with you.
  3. Trash — presentations you have moved to trash. Items here can be restored or permanently deleted.

Creating a new presentation

  1. In the My Presentations view, click the New Presentation button near the top of the screen.
  2. Give your presentation a name and, if you want, a customised access code.
  3. You will be taken straight to the editor where you can start adding slides.
You can also click the arrow next to the button and choose From a Template to start from a ready-made design.

Sorting presentations into folders

You can keep your presentations organised by grouping them into folders.

  1. Click the New Folder button in the toolbar.
  2. Give your folder a name and confirm.
  3. To move presentations into it, select the presentations you want (see Bulk actions below), then click Move to and choose your folder.
You can also create a new presentation directly from within a folder — open the folder first, then click New Presentation.

Organizing sub-folders

Each folder can contain up to 200 presentations. Subfolders are now supported in up to 10 levels.
To create a sub-folder inside an existing folder:
  1. Open the folder in which you want the sub-folder.
  2. Click New Folder from within that folder.
  3. Give the sub-folder a name and confirm.
  4. Move presentations into the sub-folder using the Move to option.

Actions on a presentation

Hover over any presentation to reveal quick-action buttons. You can also click the menu on the right side of any presentation row to see the full list of actions:
  1. Present — launches the presentation in live-presenting mode straight away. This button also appears inline when you hover a row so you can start in one click.
  2. Rename — opens an inline field to rename the presentation.
  3. View Report — opens the response data report for that presentation (requires at least one completed session).
  4. Reset results — clears all response data collected for that presentation. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
  5. Duplicate — creates an identical copy in your current folder.
  6. Share — opens the sharing dialog where you can invite collaborators or generate a share link.
  7. Move to — moves the presentation to a different folder.
  8. Move to trash — sends the presentation to the Trash. You can restore it from there or delete it permanently.
  9. Leave — removes your access to a presentation that was shared with you (appears on shared presentations only).

Actions on a folder

Click the menu on any folder row to see what you can do with it:
    1. Rename — renames the folder.
    1. Share — invites collaborators to the folder (available on team plans).
    1. Delete — permanently deletes the folder and all presentations inside it.
    1. Leave — removes your access to a shared folder (appears on shared folders only).

Bulk actions

To act on several presentations at once:
  1. Hover over any presentation row and click the checkbox that appears. A floating action bar appears at the bottom of the screen as soon as at least one item is selected.
  2. Select as many presentations as you need. You can also click Select all in the action bar to select everything in the current view.
  3. From the action bar, choose:
    1. Move to — moves all selected presentations to a folder you choose.
    2. Move to trash — sends all selected presentations to the Trash at once.
  4. To cancel, click in the action bar to deselect everything and dismiss the bar.
Notes
Bulk actions are not available in the Shared with Me view.

Sorting and searching

  1. Sort — click the sort control at the top of the list to order your presentations by Recently edited, Recently created, Alphabetical, or their reverse equivalents.
  2. Search — use the search bar in the top header to find any presentation by name across all your folders.

Importing a presentation

To bring in an existing file from outside AhaSlides:
  1. Click the Import button in the toolbar.
  2. Upload your file (for example, a PowerPoint deck).
  3. AhaSlides will convert it into an editable presentation in your library.

The chat bubble in the bottom-right corner connects you directly with our support team, who are always ready to answer any of your questions.
