Using the AhaSlides App on Zoom

The AhaSlides app for Zoom lets you seamlessly integrate interactive presentations into your Zoom meetings/webinars. Your audience can respond live, directly from the Zoom meeting, without needing to join separately.
NotesThis feature is only available to presenters and participants using the Zoom Workplace/Webinar app on PC/laptop. Mobile app is not supported.

How to add the AhaSlides app

  1. Log in with your Zoom account on the Zoom Workplace/Webinar app.

  2. Click Apps > Add apps, search for "AhaSlides" in the Zoom App Marketplace, and click Add.

  3. Select Allow to add AhaSlides to your Zoom account. The app is now available in your My Apps section.

How to use the AhaSlides app

Hosting an AhaSlides presentation on Zoom

To host an AhaSlides presentation on Zoom, follow these steps:
  1. Open the AhaSlides app in your Zoom Apps, or start a new Zoom meeting and launch AhaSlides from your Zoom Apps.

  2. Select Host a presentation, then log in to your AhaSlides account when prompted. Only the host needs an account; participants can join without one.

  3. Choose a presentation from your list or inside a folder, and Allow screensharing.

  4. Select Allow to send invitations to all the meeting participants. They will then see the invitation on their side if they are using Zoom app on PC/laptop. Participants who join the meeting later will be automatically invited.
  5. Run your AhaSlides presentation as usual, and your audience will respond live within the Zoom meeting. Their responses will be collected and displayed on your shared screen.
Tip: Hosts can invite participants to use the AhaSlides app by clicking the arrow icon at the top of the app. This shares a link to the Zoom App Marketplace with all participants.

Participating in an AhaSlides presentation on Zoom

  • From an invite: Click Open in the notification you receive.

  • Automatically: Click Apps in the Zoom meeting, find and add the AhaSlides app. You'll be automatically added when the host starts their presentation.

  • By entering a code: Click Apps, add the AhaSlides app, select Join as a Participant, and input the access code.

Participants will then see the AhaSlides app on the side of their Zoom app:




Submit answers in the AhaSlides controller within the Zoom meeting. There’s no need for a second device or another screen.

Participants do not need an Access code when joining from an invite or automatically. They also don't need an AhaSlides account to participate.

How to uninstall the AhaSlides app on Zoom

To uninstall the AhaSlides app, complete the following:

  1. Log in to your Zoom account on Zoom App Marketplace

  2. Navigate to Manage, click  Added apps (or visit this link: Added apps), and search for “AhaSlides”.

  3. Click the 3-dot button next to the AhaSlides app, then select Remove.
